Issue #27 – For the April newsletter we explored the ethnicity breakdown for undergraduate students enrolled in colleges and departments of agriculture. The analysis for this newsletter included student enrollment for 137 Land-grant and non-Land grant higher education colleges and universities across the country.

We first explored the overall ethnicity trends for agriculture programs for the reporting years of 2004 to 2012. Figure 1 shows the baccalaureate enrollment with respect to ethnicity for minority students compared to non-minority students.

We then explored the Baccalaureate enrollment for minority undergraduate students by ethnicity (Figure 2). Based on our analyses, we found the following results for undergraduate enrollment from 2004 to 2012.
